Vicky Griffiths is a professional, independent Celebrant and the founder of Hwyl Ceremonies.
With over 28 years’ experience in communications through all sectors and a speciality in relationship management, Vicky is a positive force, passionate and enthusiastic about working with couples and families to develop their ideas.
Vicky was awarded the title Celebrant of the Year 2025 at the National Wedding Industry Awards, a moment of huge pride and excitement!
A big fan of individuality and kindness, Vicky is fully qualified following her education with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the pathfinders trade association for Independent Celebrants.
Based in Neath, South Wales, Vicky lives with her husband and is Mam to two humans and two miniature schnauzers. She is a self-confessed coffee tart, and is passionate about good glassware and good mugs. She doesn’t take sugar and tries to remember to take Omega-3 every day!
Vicky is creative and an expert organiser who can be relied upon to bring her energy and problem-solving skills to the party – along with her legendary event kit which resembles Mary Poppins’ magic bag – and it’s been used many times to sew a mother-of-the-groom into her dress after a wardrobe malfunction with a zipper, and has repaired a bridesmaids shoe with gaffer tape!
With qualifications in mental health and emergency first aid, with full public liability insurance in place, you can be assured that you are in safe hands no matter what happens at your ceremony!
